How to read it
Read against M2. A gap between the two growth rates reflects the currency composition of savings shifting one way or the other. Because of revaluation, M2X growth cannot be read as monetary expansion without adjusting for the exchange rate.
How it is measured
Broad money. It includes foreign currency deposits, so a move in the rouble changes the rouble value of the aggregate without any money moving.
