GDP at current prices
GDP_NOMINAL · Economic growth
Gross domestic product at current prices, RUB billion, quarterly, not seasonally adjusted.
How to read it
The level says little on its own: nominal GDP rises with prices even when output does not move. It is here to be a denominator — ratios to GDP, money velocity, credit to GDP — where the numerator is also in current prices. Read growth from the constant-price series instead. Unadjusted, so one quarter cannot be compared with the next; span four.
How it is measured
Rosstat publishes quarterly GDP at current prices in the same workbook as the constant-price series. The sheet used is the one in billions throughout: the longer series from 1995 is not, because before the 1998 denomination it is stated in trillions and the unit changes partway through. Not seasonally adjusted — Rosstat publishes no adjusted current-price series.
